Why it matters: I love Derek Sivers books. My favorites are 📚 Your Music and People and 📚 Anything You Want. I didn’t find this one the strongest but it still provided a few nuggets.

#Things to consider

  1. You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Perfect is the enemy of good.” Likewise: True is the enemy of useful.
  2. Different philosophies for different times in your life.
  3. There’s a crucial moment in between when something happens and when you actually respond. It’s an important life skill.
  4. Go back to your favorite books, movies, thinkers, or heroes. They’re your favorites for good reason. They have lessons or wisdom you can use.
  5. Once you find a viewpoint you want to adopt, a great tool to internalize it is a private journal.
