#Reading log

2023-03-20: I read šŸ“š Parable of the Sower about five years ago. I remember I liked it but somehow never got to the second one. It reminded me of šŸ“š The Handmaids Tale. A world in an apocalyptic chaos. It started off really good building up on the little community of Acorn where life started anew. In the middle it got sluggish, and in the end if picked up again. The way it was set up was the most interesting aspect. It was written both from the future, by the way of the daughter of the main character, and the journals of the main character. So you learned from the journals in the past and from the writing of the daughter in the future. It was like two threads, starting far apart and the further you read they came meeting in the middle. I like reading books that remind me how good I have it. Circumstances could have been much different from what it is. And for that I’m grateful.
