#Things to consider

  1. He must reinvent himself, and this morning was a good time to begin.
  2. “I’m not kidding. One day I got a message from the Lord saying, ‘Get rid of the TV, Peter, it’s a huge waste of time.’ So I did.”
  3. Besides, he enjoyed the hours he spent in his hammock, free of anything to do.
  4. We are souls shut inside a cage of bones; souls squeezed into a parcel of flesh. We get to hang around in there for a certain number of years, and then we go where souls go.
  5. Our bodies … your body, my body … we’re living inside a miracle. Forget religion, we’re a miracle of nature. We can hit our thumb with a hammer, we can tear a hole in our skin, we can get burnt, broken, swollen up with pus, and a little while later, it’s all fixed!
