1. The universe is a large space where bodies attract one another by means of forces; and there is a universal force, gravity: every body attracts every other body.
2. Space is not a dull, fixed container but possesses its own dynamic, its own “physics,” just like the matter and the other fields it contains.
3. The entire technology of the nineteenth century and of our own modern world rests largely upon Newton’s formulas.
4. Einstein wrote three major articles at the age of twenty-five.
5. It is easy to understand things once someone has thought them through. The difficulty lies in thinking them through in the first place.
