Short book that connects all the pieces of agile and scrum methodologies, with the best parts of UX.

#Things to consider

  • Stop focusing on the deliverables and start focusing on delighting the customers.
  • Your first attempt will always require revision. We invest too much in the initial design. Get comfortable with that you’re not going to get it right the first time.
  • Everything is an assumption. As we work we gain clarity.
  • Outcomes over outputs. Our goal is not to create deliverables. It’s to change something in the world, to create an outcome.
  • GOOB: Getting Out Of the Building.
  • Proto-personas are quicker best-guess version of a persona. Consider proto-personas as living documents. When talking with customers, how many beliefs are still true?
  • Collaborative design builds team-wide shared understanding. It’s this shared understanding that is the currency of lean UX, the more the team collectively understand the less it has to document to move forward.
  • Behavior trumps opinion.

#Reading log

2022-05-29: Really enjoying how this book connects much of other knowledge I’ve learned about in both design and agile methodologies. It connects to design thinking which I learned about both in 📚 Change by Design and 📖 Design Thinking – The Beginner’s Guide.
