#The human pilgrimage in the solar system
π Earthlight is about the human pilgrimage throughout the solar system. As Mars and Venus are being transformed to human conditions, and work is underway further out on the moons of Saturn and Jupiter it creates an interesting conundrum. It creates a new βnationβ called the Federation, meaning people who are not living on Earth. The Moon still counts to Earth but in reality the thousand people living there are closer to Federation standards, meaning anyone who has emigrated. This book feels relevant today since we are inching closer to this reality of having more than one planet inhabited in our solar system. I guess the same way that Americans wanted to set up their own state and throw off the English legacy, the people that set up bases out in space would feel the same about Earth.
