So I just finished my first book for January. It was from this Swedish author Fredrik Backman, not sure if you’ve heard about him? Anyway I’ve never read any of his books so I thought I pick this one up because it has the word home in the title, and because it was really short, just around 90 pages so I could finish it quickly.

It’s super beautiful. About an aging man who has dementia and is hanging around with his grandson in his brain. There’s a town square holding all his memories, but every day it gets a bit smaller. It’s hard to describe it because the story jumps around quite a lot, to reflect the man’s mind. But each little episode is so beautifully written. How he made a life with his wife, how he’s fishing with his grandson, the struggle with his son.
