Now and then I get questions from friends asking if I could provide them with some advice on how to design better for the web. Usually I help where I can, suggesting to use more white space, or pick a better font, or use colors which are more harmonious.

But I realized the many things I do is so automatic to me that I haven’t had phrase it properly, to put it down into writing. There are so many small tweaks you can do to make a better looking design. And it’s quick to learn.

So I had the idea that it would probably be much better if I collect those suggestions and make something more comprehensive. A short, minimalist guide with a couple of steps for how to make a web design look a bit more inviting.

So that’s what I’ve been working on over the last week and I finally have a first version ready to be shared. My plan is to expand on this with more Tips in the future, but for now you can download it from here. I hope you enjoy it! And feel free to reach out if you have suggestions for improvement.
