#Reading log

2024-03-18: I had some issues getting through this book at the beginning. Reading about a dystopian future makes me depressive. That heat wave in India was just horrible, where Frank was caught and nearly died, and all the rest in the village he was in succumbed. But the further I read the more the book took me in.

There were lots of innovative approaches of saving the rising ocean levels. That was super interesting to read about. And towards the end there was actually a future that I felt excited about. Almost like an improvement on what we have currently. Airships instead of planes. High-tech sailing ships that takes you across the Atlantic. In one way a โ€œone step back to take two steps forwardโ€ approach. There is so much good technology that we never pursued because something took over the whole industry and nobody ever looked back.

In the end I really enjoyed reading this one. The same as I did with ๐Ÿ“š New York 2140. Maybe I should read some more from Kim Stanley Robinson?
