Set higher goals in order to achieve bigger things. It’s not enough to set low goals and achieve them, you need to set higher goals and you will reach higher even if you don’t accomplish the goals.
#Take responsibility
Nothing happens to you, it happens because of you. Take responsibility over your life and stop acting the “victim”. Nothing good ever comes by whining or exclaiming that it’s not “your fault”. It may not be, but it is your problem and you should take responsibility for it.
#What do you want to assume control of in your life?
- The time I wake up.
- The type of work I’m doing.
- What food I’m eating.
#Degrees of action
There are four simple categories and degrees of action you can take:
- Do nothing.
- Retreat.
- Take normal levels of action.
- Take massive action.
#The thing about balance
You can have abundance in every area you choose. Unsuccessful people tend to place limits on themselves. “If I am rich, I can’t be happy” or “If I thrive in my career, then I won’t have time to be a good father.” This is scarcity mindset. Don’t put limits on your self.
#Keep track of how you spend your time
Always know where you’re spending your time. I’ve found it helpful to plan my day ahead in a physical notebook so that I do an intentional action in how I want to steer my day. Then I can look back on this at the end of the day and see how I “scored.” You have 168 hours in a week. Know how you spend them. Imbalance always occurs when you don’t do enough with the time you have.
#Expect criticism
When you start taking the right amount of action and therefore creating success, expect criticism to be the next thing to show up. You have to embrace criticism as a sign that you’re doing something right, even if no person likes the feeling of being criticized. Learn to seek criticism, be comfortable with it. You’re heading the right direction.
#Get more customers
Don’t fret too much about customer satisfaction. The only way to increase customer satisfaction is by attracting more customers. Without customers, they can’t be satisfied with anything. Increasing customer satisfaction is impossible without increasing customers.
