#Reading log
2017-06-20: I started reading 📚 Seveneves the other day. It’s the perfect book for me. The moon has an implosion and breaks into seven pieces, researchers find out that these pieces will keep grinding to each other and create a meteor rain over Earth which will extinguish the human race on the surface. What to do? It feels like it could be the new 📚 The Martian with this contemporary kind of science fiction that I don’t read that often. It’s funny seeing pundits about Google, Twitter and Facebook. That’s something you don’t find in Heinlein’s writing, for good reason.
2017-06-22: I’ve read over 300 pages in the book on a week. I love it so far. I don’t read much modern science fiction but it’s so interesting to hear how social media, tablets and all other modern stuff we have right now will play out its role in a fabricated future.
2017-06-25: It’s hard to read 📚 Seveneves at the moment. The Earth is burning from the meteoroid rain and it feels so real. Everything that we know, just gone. The people aboard the Cloud Ark are doing their best to focus on what they have to do to move on. But oh, how hard it must be knowing that at the same time all your loved ones are perishing.
2017-06-28: I don’t like the direction the second half of the book has taken. It’s more drama and less interesting science fiction. Still intrigued how it’s going to turn out. I feel most of the main characters are dying off like flies. A bit like Game of Thrones style.
