2025-01-07: This book has been a weird journey. It starts out with the author being detained at the airport in Moscow. After a night of detention and anxiety he is released and sent back on a plane to London. The next part of the book explains the background and how he came to be an investor in Eastern Europe, and later Russia. Then the story goes around the corruption of the legal system and how the oligarchs came to power. And later on, how Putin wrestled that power from them by exposing them, with the help of Bill Browder. But then the luck turns once again when Bill and his companies are being targeted. Even his lawyers are hunted and two of them manages to get out of Russia.
